I have been with lockwood for 16 years and they were always fantastic. Whilst I understand covid has taken a toll. The practice is utterly terrible. There are some staff and nurses who are wonderful but sadly the need to make more and more money out of the various initiatives like medication, conditions and covid vaccinations has reduced the practice standards. The switch board cuts off with "a please try later" when busy and the new working process of triage is not working letting the GPs essentially pick n choose. There was an 8 week pilot of the new triage which failed yet lockwood decided to take it on, meaning the nurses and office staff take on the brunt of the work. I have now left the practice as I have only had one face to face appointment in over 2 and a half years despite having had difficulties following cancer surgery and treatment. Another family misdiagnosis i add. Much happier and treated well at my new surgery. My complaint here was never even acknowledged, despite emailing it, typical!

Glad I moved here from Queensway surgery. It's hard to get a face to face after Covid anywhere so not a reason to down star. They spotted Shingles early and the nurse who takes my bloods always makes me feel at ease she's great and I'd recommend.

I have sadly now left this practice after various failures, delays, mis-diagnosis and the final straw was a receptionist who told me to hurry up with my explanation and then flatly refused my request, telling me I should have rung at 8am when I didn't actually want an appointment, just a prescription. Since covid all you get are telephone appointments and when that isn't on offer shunted off to the overstretched emergency services. It really isn't good enough. I want to commend Claire as the only helpful person I've come across recently and I'll be sorry to leave because she is really good at what she does.

I am now in the process of working through the complaints procedure which you have to do before you can take it to any external agency. Their last CQC inspection was 2017 looking at the review status of this Surgery why hasnt another inspection been carried out in nearly 6 years? I cant take the sheer lack of respect, compassion and most importantly the fact they ignore their duty of care to patients anymore. I now have to ask my partner to have the conversations on the phone for her to experience what I experience when I call otherwise they are 99% certain of winding me up to the point they feel justified to terminate the call, the irony is they have a sickly recorded message your forced to listen to that hasnt been updated in over two years, asking you not to be rude when they dont follow their own advice. Ive even requested a call back from the practice manager Im still waiting on that. There are so many failings in this Surgery it has to be made to make changes.
