Beyond disheartened and disappointed with the experiences at the Gorton Street Surgery. I attended an appointment regarding period problems and abnormal bleeding for periods of time. I had no support offered, I came up with the solutions we could potentially explore. I explained the issues and was told well if your bleeding there isnt much I can do for you which is appalling! I attend doctors appointments to be helped and support with medical concerns not fobbed off. I explained previous medication I had taken, then and only then medication was offered to me/discussed. I requested a blood test as I was worried my iron/vitamins levels could be low, no physical checks were carried out nor any questions to see if currently it seemed as if my levels are lacking or needing checking which worries me. Jacqui or Jackie who I saw also unprofessional moaned about another patient shed seen before me a guy this morning already made my appointments late! In an angry manner, which was completely irrelevant to me and unnecessary as well as unprofessional. I raised further concerns with her explaining Id had a hysteroscopy last year due to either polyps or cysts being removed and was asking if I may need another one to be told well theres no knowing this right now, and youd need a PV and I do NOT do them! Youll have to come back to see a lady called Jane the tone in which she said this made me feel very uncomfortable and as if she was above doing such a task making me feel judged. On top of that, a remark was made about air freshener where she said we need that here!! Which again deepened the judgemental tone making me feel even more uncomfortable. I felt worse having had the appointment which is making me look into other doctors in the area now and to leave this doctors practice altogether as it was an awful experience.

My medication is messed up every month and end up without medication for a day or 2 bearing in mind I cannot be without medication so I have to suffer! I went in to see a doctor who's first question was "been unemployed all your life have you!" No I am recently unemployed, he had to check me on the bed, I am suffering with chronic sciatica, when he finished which was pointless by the way, then told me get off there now! Which I couldn't, I couldn't get up I would have to have help to roll off, instead he yanked me up and caused so much pain I screamed and was crying, he then began to question what was I doing in Blackpool, I told him that I had left an abusive relationship and wanted to be closer to family for support, he sat there clicking his fingers and saying well something doesn't sound right it's not adding up! How dare he! Me and my children have gone through a lot and my health was getting worse for him to treat me like I was nothing! Oh and he also said that because I am currently unemployed I will not be a priority! Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a Doctor, I will be taking things further! I am also unable to change doctors because the 3 in my catchment area are linked! The other doctors are really nice, they listen and they are empathetic which is a shame to have that disgraceful doctor even linked to them. Most on reception are lovely and are very helpful, when ordering medication via email then call to question where my medication is I have spoken to a couple that speak to me like I am stupid and try to put the blame on me even though I keep all my emails, but like I said that is only 2 the rest are really lovely and they care which is important.
