My uncle lived there . Whilst he was there it was covid . I know that the management team moved in ro care for the residents. that's dedication. Its a beautiful home . Very clean and the food is second to none .

This home is a lovely place. The staff are very kind and caring and go the extra mile for the residents. Best care home in the area by far. Its a credit to the owners who em work very hard and long hours to keep it all in good running order.

My Mum was a resident here for 3 months. This care home is clearly under staffed. Her medication was not administrated correctly. When we moved her in September to her new care home the staff there found medication dating back to June which Mum should have taken; her prescriptions and paperwork were in a mess. Also she left the Highcroft with bed sores which she did not have before she went there. I raised concerns over her health a few times only to be ignored. On one occasion an ambulance was called out to my Mum 2 days after I had raise concerns over her chest. The staff failed to contact a doctor even though Mum had had tuberculosis and a lobe of her lung removed years before. She was sometimes left in wet clothes for too long and also not dressed in her own clothes (even though we had taken in 8 sets). A few times when I went to visit they had even dressed her in men's clothes! On a few occasions my Mum looked drugged up and not lucid, but the staff said she was fine. Money also went missing, we had left 20 for a taxi to take Mum to the dentist but the home cancelled the appointment twice because they had no spare staff to take her. When Mum moved I asked for her money back but was told nobody knew anything about it. I rang on numerous occasions to speak to the owners with regards to Mum's missing money and clothes but was told by different staff that they were not there or they were unavailable. I would not recommend this place.
