Hi there, I bought a replacement battery from Stuarts Radio for my portable PA speaker. I busk and sing profesionally and have bought two replacement batteries on line before. Thay usually last over 6 hours but this one lasted just over an hours which would suggest this one was over two years old with regular use. I should have guest as it wasn't in a box but over the years he struck me as a honest buisiness. I lost a lot of money on the streets which i couldn't afford to loose until i could afford another online. I'm back up to 6 hours again no thanks to this con man. He wouldnt give me a refund of 32 pounds or replacement battery that he actually orders. So. help Karma and buy your items from elsewhere and give this guy the canupence he deserves. I will be posting the on with all relevant groups and friend on Facebook. Shame i can't do 0 stars

Although I didn't end up buying anything this time around, Stewart was very helpful and Informative about the cb's I had in mind. We spoke about the good old 80s when I first began using the cb radio at at the age of 14 now that I did the maths lol I'm 55 now and would like to get the right setup to talk to others in and around the Cumbria area and possibly make a few new friends along the way. I moved to Whitehaven in January 2020 just before the pandemic began, it would of been a more suitable time to have set up a cb then but at present I'm awaiting to hear if my local council will allow me to erect an outdoor aerial. I will most likely call back and see Stewart at some point as he is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Was visiting Blackpool for the week and had some time to kill while the wife did some shopping, after a bit of googling was delighted to see there was a radio shop close by! Had seen a few reviews saying it was a bit of an Aladdin's cave which only spurred me on more to visit! (Love a good rummage) met with a very warm welcome and shown around. All manor of things to see! Although the selection is small (lots of lighting and audio stuff in there too) it was a nice spread, plenty of antenna's for all kinds of situations, scanners, PMR Radios, CB handhelds and mobiles, some inexpensive Amateur handhelds and saw 1-2 used amateur base stations, after a browse I ended up leaving with a Uniden UBC 125 XLT scanner which has been great so far (and quite a bit cheaper than some of the online offerings!) And a extra magmount antenna Before I left they provided me with a sticker and reassured me if there was any issues just give them a call, real genuine service In short, it's no ML&S , but a great place to pop in if your after some basics, they seem to be able to order what you needed in if you don't mind waiting, and the prices are very good too! Will continue to check in with them over the coming years, and send them my business, great to see a store like this still standing and doing well for themselves in this day and age, 10/10 many thanks!
