The room we stayed in had what seemed like a partition wall between the guests next to us, we could hear their TV and regular conversations which made it difficult to relax - it was a tad small too. We asked for towels a couple of times, but every time we did we were told that they were in the dryer (about 4 hours apart) - which was quite frustrating. The breakfast service was quite plain, we were offered toast (and various spreads), cereals, tea or coffee. We were under the impression it would also include a fry up breakfast (as stated on their website)... he stated that his wife had fallen ill, which is understandable - however it is still a business, and he should have had someone on standby to assist. Overall the place seemed clean enough though. It was near the beach/town which meant it was easy to get to everything. The owner seemed nice, and was polite, but I really think he should have had a plan for when things go wrong. If it was my business, I would make sure I had a number of people I could call or count on to help out when needed (even nearby b&bs might be willing if you made arrangements with them). I would much rather pay someone for a couple of hours work, and loose out on a bit of profit that day, to make sure guests were happy... then to have unhappy guests. Also prior warning about the situations of rooms (I.e. noise can travel through walls) would be nice - I would appreciate honesty. If the guests were made aware on arrival, then I'm sure the guests would have made the effort to not make too much noise. We suffer with anxiety, and had we known we would have either picked somewhere else (and thus the room could have gone to someone more suited and didn't mind) or we would have asked if it was possible to make the other guests to be a bit more courteous about their noise levels (or a possible swap of rooms). I don't think we will go again, however I hope the owners take note to try and make it a better experience for future guests.

I am writing this review on behalf of my in-laws. My in-laws stayed at this hotel.. well they attempted to stop, a few weeks back, If I could rate this hotel less stars for them I would. After arriving we were told our room wasn't ready, but we could leave our bags inside, and was told to come back at 2pm. We decided to walk into Blackpool whilst our room was getting ready and on returning we found a notice pinned to the front door saying 'due to illness we are not taking any bookings today' After standing for half an hour with our finger on the door bell the owner eventually opened the door, to find him intoxicated, we managed to get our bags back and said we would return later to get a refund.. We had the inconvenience of having to find another room, and later on during the day we went back to get our money back, again having to stand with our finger on the door bell for another half hour, eventually he opened the door, and we demanded our money back, which we did receive, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL..
