On entering the building I was greeted by the musty smell ( the smell that you get in a second hand clothing shop on a wet day)that is consistent through out the building. A polish gentleman showed me to my room. Traveling through the hall and up the stairs was an intresering experience as there was no end to the variety of carpet that had been pieced together to cover the floors and i knew that if I found myself at a loose end I could make shapes or faces from the stains on the way he said I am sorry that it a bit small. He wasn't joking. The room itself was furnished with what could only be described as prize finds if you had gone dumpster diving. The ensure would have been the latest thing back in the 70s and there was a polite notice on the wall saying that the shower was a long way from the boiler and so the hot water takes a while to come through there was nothing explaining that when it did arrive that ut came out in a trickled any adjustment to the fosse made the water ice cold. The bedroom door didn't fit the frame and there was a gap underneath it which was so bad that they could have slid a plate of food under. The weather had turned cold and on the first night there was no heating.there was no facilities no reception no bar just a phone number stuck to the window saying any problems call and then a phone number. The room was over priced at 45 per night. I have seen cleaner homeless hostkes would u saty here again. Lol ahhh nope. Suggestions for the current owner turn off all the light and rent the whole property as a haloween spectacular would do well. The place is is dump.

New owners were very welcoming. And was able to check in earler then 2pm was given a welcome drink and we had a pick of the rooms as we was the first ones two arrive on Friday 8th Oct . Room was very clean. No problems with the shower .close to train station and other places to visit and go while in Blackpool owners had not be there long but have done their best and still trying to get the place back to how it was but we both fully enjoy our stay there we was told that there was not bar or breakfast but was able to be allowed to bring drinks and food back thank u Kris
