Mayfair Hotel

Very disappointed with this hotel we were in the ground floor room it was dirty in the shower and the toilet seat was loose, the TV didn't work properly when I asked him to fix it he said he would but he didn't, the breakfast was below average a full brown loaf on the table was moldy, and on the second day he didn't even show up for breakfast he left no reason for not being there, the guests kept ringing him but got no response, the bedding smelt fusty and, so we checked out a day early, definitely never go back

I have given one star because my experience staying there was not a positive one.When I checked in the owner/manager stated that he was going straight to Manchester. When I got in my room I noticed there were no towels, however by the time I went back downstairs he was gone and there was no else around to ask. I needed a shower because I was cold and wet and so I was forced to go put and buy some. However, when I came back with my purchase of towels I still couldn't have a shower because the shower was broken.!! The next day there was still no one around to ask about getting my broken shower fixed, but I noticed that a couple who had checked out had left the key in the door and I had no choice but to use their room for a shower taking my purchased towels. I had repeatedly tried to ring a contact number that had been left and so had my partner at home as I was meeting up with friends and family and at last my partner got through. The owner was quite rude to her and told her it was none of her buisness but when I got back that evening towels had been left but the shower was still broken and therefore I kept using the unoccupied room to take my showers. During my whole stay my room was never cleaned or sundries topped up and there was never anyone present. I have since read other reviews and I have found I am not alone with this experience.
