Brilliant service. Best doctor we have ever had. Kathy the Practice Nurse (his wife) is also excellent. Even before going online many years ago, we always got test results immediately. Referrals happened with a couple of days. Appointments were often booked for just 30 minutes after making the telephone call! and he always had time to discuss more than one ailment if necessary. All our friends were envious but now he is retiring and we are all devastated. He and Kathy will be very much missed but we wish them the very best and thank them for their first class service.

Have been using this surgery for a while now, and thankfully I haven't had to visit much. But recently due to some minor injuries sustained, I have had to visit a couple of times. My latest visit was the day after Her Majesty's funeral because I had unfortunately put my back out the night before. I managed to get an appointment on the same day which to be fair has always been the case. This surgery is very good at seeing you on short notice. I was given some pain killers and sent on my way. My workplace has a rule where if you are off either the day before or the day after a Bank Holiday, in order to get paid holiday pay for that bank holiday, a doctors note showing a proof of the visit needs to be handed in. I followed the work protocol, explained the situation to Dr Thorpe and asked if he could provide me with a note to show my employer to ensure that I would get paid, to which he just rudely replied "no" When I proceeded to explain the work situation and show him the request on my phone from work regarding this, I was rudely told again that it wouldn't be happening, followed by a goodbye. It might not mean much to a Doctor on 100k+ a year, but that day's wage was a pretty big deal for me. I'm think now i'm going to be finding a new Doctor.
