I have just got my bus pass for the first time and I really want to use it on the tram service as the frequency of the service and simplicity of routes is much better than buses.
I live geographically in Blackpool opposite the tram depot in Starr Gate but I'm just inside the Fylde border, Fylde doesn't fund the use of bus passes on trams as this is only provided by Blackpool Council and Wyre Council.
I assume that directing any funding to this would be extremely low on the priority for Fylde and possibly will never happen, so if there's no solution that can be offered I would like to know if it's possible for Fylde to release me from their control so I can pay my council tax to Blackpool Council and become their customer.
It's important to point out that there are no logistical problems tying me to Fylde Council such as refuse collection as I use recycling pods on Clifton Drive which is a facility provided by Blackpool and is within walking distance of home, these pods are perfect for my recycling needs as I can't justify the space for wheelie bins for my volume of recycling.
In fact I'm receiving more service via Blackpool Council, the only thing Fylde do for me is to take payments.
Due to a foot deformity there is a mobility issue involved here, I realise it's customary to hand over payments to the council without question but I don't think it's much to ask for some benefit in return.
