Like all the best shops it's the people behind the counter that make it a local institution and Raj has been serving all for years with good cheer and kind words. Every essential from bags of ice to onions to the excellent selection of snacks is here as well as the much-needed Oyster top-up. As a bonus, if you're a regular Raj will make sure to have your favourites in stock, regardless of things like supply issues. Have a particular snack or drink you like to have on demand? Need a lightbulb or a particular battery? You name it, Raj either has it or will dug it out for you. Absolutely essential service for all SE3 residents

I lived above this shop for a year myself, after my friend who has also written a review moved out, and Raj was always neighbourly, helpful and kind to me during my time living there - and the years prior when I was a visitor. Myself and all my friends miss him and the shop very much! Thank you for serving the community, you are a great man!
