After my Grandmother passed away, Lynne at Waterside Funeral Home was really great at helping us organise the funeral. Nothing was too much trouble and helped us each step of the way. On the day everything went as planned and nan had a great send off.

Please don't use these, poor service! Hesitant to respond to their feedback form, coming in to see your loved one is about as much of a faff as booking to see the doctor and even then you may get let down, it's understanding that every business needs to make money but when it comes across like they're trying to get rid of old stock, not taking the time to ask about what text needs to be put on the plack and grave marker, making you pay for a mini-van instead of a hearsette only to find out on the day that your child is turning up in the back of a van and getting the invoice to you the day after the funeral and speaking to you like you're an imbocile... well, if you want my advice don't get done over by these cowboys at Holbury (Good service and experience at the Hythe branch though!)

I called this funeral home after my son passed away at 13 days old, agreed that I would use them for his care and his funeral service. Was advised that hed been collected from the hospital on the Friday, but wouldnt be able to see him until the week after, which at the time was ok because I found peace in knowing my little boy was just around the corner... Only to call on the Monday and find out that he wasnt here, he was in lymington over the weekend! I wasnt told about this at all. And then came the coffin choices.. it seemed that it was a inconvenience to them that we wanted to have a coffin for him and not the free of charge casket. Which came with no lining whatsoever, so just a wooden box essentially. We werent given any choice as to what we wanted on the plaque on his coffin, they took it upon themselves to choose. The same with his grave marker. Again it was an inconvenience that we wanted his last journey to be in a hearse, so we were told he could have a hearsette but we would have to pay for a limousine which we were happy with. When it came to the day of his funeral, we were greeted by a rude, swearing limousine driver and our son was in the back of a black ford tourneo van. To say this was upsetting is an understatement, all I wanted was for my son to be dignified in his last journey. The invoice arrived the day after his funeral, with a feedback card. I filled this out with my concerns and did not receive a response. I have since sent two emails and also tried to call, to no avail. So happy that we went with another funeral director when our other son unfortunately passed away. He was given a lined coffin, a hearse and they even went to the trouble of replacing our first sons grave marker to something that we wanted. I would never use this funeral directors again.
