Never known such a disgusting care home. Residents completely neglected and uncared for, and the staff turn over tells you everything.

Terrible communication, must have left at least 34 messages and no department ever got back to me including the manager.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED HERE!!! ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE DEMENTIA & YOU DO NOT HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR THEM!!! Management (in particular the Admin Marion) are rude, dismissive & not interested in your concerns. They do not take pride or concern in how it is managed and have no interest in how Nurses and staff are running their departments. Food is unrecognizable and very often cold and dry/hard. ALL Personal clothing was losed/taken! (90% Bought New) Personal Wheelchair (5 weeks old) LOST - Never located or apologised or Compensated for! Very Low standard of Daily Personal Care/care in general Cleaning is not a priory, sugar that had been spilt on dining room floor fri lunchtime, was still there following Tuesday! Nurses do not relay information to each other on shift change. One day Nurse me my told aunt had constipation and was given remedy, when I called later that evening to see how she was, Nurse on duty had No knowledge of it and even said she had been fine all day! On Dementia Unit Level 2, Nurses do not seem to have any Dementia experience only from what they have picked up by being there and their lack of experience &/or common sense lead them to conclude that change in her behaviour in 1st week my aunt was there warranted application for Deprivation of Liberty safeguard to be placed on her! Without Our knowledge or informing us! To which the (Couldnt)Care(aless) Carehome would benefit financially! Only positive thing about Springfield, part from the Exit, is the general staff are wonderful and really try and help but unfortunately very young and inexperienced and are given no direction or guidance so they are running round doing best they can. We placed our aunt there for 2 week respite in Sept '21. When we went to collect her we were informed that we were 'Not allowed to remove her' as they had placed an Urgent Deprivation of Liberty safeguard whilst Social Services processed Standard Deprivation of Liberty safeguard. Our Social Worker was at best Useless and worst out off her depth! She went in fully functioning person who used a stick to help walk. By time they let her out, the day before Christmas Eve, she could not walk, stand, talk. Was totally incontinence and could not eat only drink! She past away following month!
