St Marys Nursery

Both of my children attended St Mary,s nursery and they loved it. They made some life long friendships and by the time they went to school they were so ready for formal education. They have developed a love for learning and St Mary's was were it all started. The girls are friendly, caring and so enthusiastic, they go over and beyond what is expected nothing is any trouble for them. If I was worried about anything, I would speak to the senior of the room and she would always reassured me. Thank you

Staff at the nursery are so friendly and always have time to discuss your child when you pick them up my 2yr old grandson has been going there for about 1yr and we have noticed a change in him since he has been going he is more chatty he is always singing and can count up to 14 he also knows his colours and also knows names of different vehicle and he also knows his animals If it wasn't for the way the staff are teaching him I don't think his development would be where it is now. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good nursery .

After touring a number of nurseries in and around Blackburn, we felt comfortable and reassured that this was the best one for our child (2 year old). It was immediately apparent that the teachers, toys, activities (indoor and outdoor), layout, flexibility, parking, security etc were all excellent and our son benefited as a result. My son spent most of his time at the water table, but there are areas for messy play, sand play, building, reading, outdoor play, construction etc. The area just felt right and proper to start the education journey. In terms of improvements: - Other nurseries are ahead in terms of electronic feedback with pictures etc, however the daily paper feedback we were provided sufficed. - Our child was also sent home with wet sleeves a couple of times which we weren't too enamored with. - Handover could also have been improved, teachers with shifts in the afternoon couldn't provide proper feedback for activities that took place in the morning. - We also felt that the meals / snacks menu could be improved. Despite the above comments, we are still rating the nursery 5 stars as we felt it was the right setting for him. A special thanks to Aatika, Munira and Molly (who has now left to go to another nursery). We have moved out of the area now and so are hunting for another nursery.

All our 3 boys attended St Marys College Nursery. They are now aged 15, 14 and 12. Infact our eldest son was the first baby to attend St Marys when it was newly opened, then his brothers followed him where they all attended from being 6 months old to school age. I am not at all surprised that St Marys has an Ofsted Outstanding rating as Tracy and her team were always so caring and conscientious in their approach. In 7 years of using St Marys, I never had any reason to worry about the care the boys were receiving. I had complete peace of mind that their time there was happy and safe. They all had an excellent start to their school life thanks to St Marys. I also have to say they have never been fussy eaters, always mixed well with other children and have always been very competent and I believe St Marys contributed a great deal to this. Even now, they all speak very fondly of their time spent at St Marys. Highly recommended!
