All the lads at Soft Sell were amazingly helpful. They supplied me with everything I needed and had no problem offering their time, with regards to resolving a few technical issues that I had. They even took the trouble to contact me a couple of days after, to make sure I had solved my problem successfully, which I had, as a result of their help. Keep up the good work and thanks.

This could be a long one, so here goes... I got a recommendation from my friend for this place but I am so disappointed. I phoned soft cell to explain the problems I was having with my computer. I said, "it won't power on, but I've tested the charger and all the main components, and they are all fine." I went on to explain that the problem was that I had a short on the motherboard and could they have a go at fixing it. I was told to bring it down, and "there will be a 20 inspection fee," which I thought was fair enough because time is money. They had my computer 3 days, and then I got a phone call where they told me everything that I'd told them in my initial conversation. Components are fine and the problem. Was a short in the motherboard and that they didn't have the skills to start fault-finding the board and that I should simply buy a new computer or try Park Computers because "they have a guy that is handy with a soldering iron". Well, I'm not being funny, but for these guys to charge me 20 just to repeat everything I told them is a joke. It's not an inspection fe. it's a fee for a phone call, which just repeated my comments. I will never recommend these charlatans, nor will I use them ever again, and I will actively encourage people to use a different shop for purchases. All for 20. Had they refunded the 20 "repeat my message fee" then I'd have simply put it down to a bad experience but I really feel as though I was duped into going down for a 20 quid fee. Either that or the guy I spoke to didn't have any knowledge of his industry. In either case, it's shoddy. Even when I went in to collect it, there was another guy there who said they had inspected it and wasn't interested in hearing my point of complaint. He was just too interested in flogging a laptop to an older lady. Should any employee of Soft Cell, or its owner wish to get in touch to put matters right, then I'll be more than happy to converse with them. Until then, I'm still an exceptionally unhappy ex customer.
