We have just returned from a 4 night stay here at Beara Lodge. Firstly the host Steve was the most welcoming, friendly, helpful, person. Nothing was too much trouble from the start. He walked us down a woodland pathway to the most beautiful meadow surrounded by trees, where the 2 huge safari tents were located. The tents them selves are very impressive and have everything you could think of which makes packing that little but easier. Even down to waterbottles for all, plenty of blankets, games and drawing for the children. Milk, cookies and easter eggs were also left for us which was a delightful touch. There is already, tea, coffee, sugar in the tent. Aswell as a 2 ring induction hob. There is a log fire to keep warm, we happened to go when it was nice clear weather but extremely cold at night, so we got through quite a but of wood. Sleeping was lovely, bed linin was provided, with blankets on each bed, but as it was very cold at night we had to wrap up extra warm and the children wore fluffy onsies on top of Pajamas. It has a fully fitted bathroom with shower, and hot running water. We made good use of the fire pit and used the bbq every night. The location is fab for exploring, we visited Summerleaze Beach in Bude., highly recommend. Lydford Gorge is stunning and hope to return there again. We walked various sites across Dartmoor and located and stood atop a few Tors. Also we found an incredible lagoon in an ancient quarry that's a great site. Wistmans Wood is beautiful but the easier to access Fenworthy Forest near the reservoir is more immersive and just stunning. Highly reccomeded all round and it would be a pleasure to return to stay here. Thank you Steve and Sara.

We have just come back from a lovely few days staying at Beara Lodge. This was my first experience glamping and it far exceeded any of my expectations. The tents are absolutely amazing and Sarah and Steve have literally thought of everything. We had a lovely warm welcome, and my daughter was completely taken by the fairy houses on the walk down to the tents through the woods. This was such a lovely addition and made every walk back up to the car very exciting for her. She loved to knock on their doors. When we got to the tent, I was surprised at just how much stuff there was in there, from the lovely leather sofa to the games, cutlery and the cutest hot water bottles ever! We were provided with everything you could need for the perfect glamping experience. The log burner was so good and definitely came in handy after a cold wet day or first thing in the morning. The beds were really comfy and we all slept well with the heat keeper blankets that were at the end of each of the beds. I need one for myself now!! We all miss the shower, the kids especially. Something that was really good for us as a family, was the field that the tents were on. They loved playing out on it with their uncles and dad, there was just so much space. You don't have to go out if you don't want and could have a lovely time just staying at the tent. I really did enjoy our holiday and look forward to booking up again. thank you
