200 yards off the main road but a million miles from the cares of the world. Our stay at the Milking Parlour was such a relaxing break. Beautifully converted property with stunning features and everything you could need provided. It really is just as good as it looks in the pictures. Penny and Paul were the perfect hosts. Nothing too much trouble, helpful information on things to do and lovely people. I could write a whole chapter on the animals, they all had names but even with a week there I can't remember them all. Hugo and Gabriel the donkeys are real characters though. Give then a carrot and you'll have friends for life. The only sounds you will hear are the rustle of the leaves on the trees and birdsong. Well the occasional bleat of the lambs when it's feeding time too but at least you don't need a watch. The location is ideal for exploring Devon and the east of Cornwall. Exmoor, Dartmoor, Lynmouth, Clovelly RHS Rosemoor and Tavistock were all within easy reach and all well worth visiting. This was our first visit to this property and won't be our last. Can't wait to see what animals Penny adopts next. As long as there are no crocodiles in the lake we'll be happy. Thanks Penny and Paul.
