        Pure nostalgia. This was my local "pub" when I lived here in the old nurses accommodation at Black Notley hospital.Sadly a hell of a lot has changed in the intervening years.

        We crossed the valley from Tye Green Cressing to join friends at the Platinum Jubilee party, hosted by the Black Notley Community Association. Such a lovely event and extremely generous of them to put on bouncy castles for the kids. The BBQ was very good, the cosy bar was serving decent beer and the raffle provided a fun end to the day. We spent a lovely afternoon sitting on the grass enjoying the sun. Well done Black Notley.
