After thorough research, I was very clear in the kind of tutor I wanted - a qualified teacher with experience of teaching primary school maths but who also 'clicked' with my son. Many tutoring companies provide tutors who are not qualified to teach - frequently they are students who do well in their subject. However there is a significant difference between being good at a subject yourself and being able to teach it. I would definitely recommend Kara to other parents - she is a warm, caring and extremely effective maths tutor who is able to help children develop their knowledge, ability and confidence to tackle problems by themselves.

I would confidently recommend Kara Cook without any hesitation at all, my daughter is 10 years old and was struggling though the lockdown period, she wasn't enjoying Maths and had very little confidence. I feel blessed to have found Kara who was able to bring back the fun in learning and she has a lovely way of communicating with children. My daughters school teacher has even committed on how well Sofia is doing and that she has a deep understanding of maths- words I never thought I would hear!
