I moved from Dorset to Bishopstoke in December and Stokewoood was my local surgery. I can honestly say hand on heart I have been treated with nothing but kindness, excellent care and compassion from the reception staff through to all of the clinical staff. The phones don't always get answered in two rings but we don't live in an ideal world and if people only understood the volume of calls a GP surgery handle during a working day you would understand why. Credit where credit is due to an excellently run surgery. Thank you

I went here as a foreigner when I got really bad UTI a few years ago. They gave me an appointment on the same day. The staff was really friendly, they prescribed me antibiotics and I got back to normal in a few days.

This is a thank you to the doctors and staff at Stokewood Surgery, although under extreme pressure the doctor was thorough and purposeful to assist and provide help and guidance. Brilliant - thank you - RV

Been on at husband to go to Drs for various reasons for months. As hes now over 50 (51 1/2) he was due his health check 18 months ago but hadnt been called forward. We rang in the new year and waited 10 weeks for the associated blood test appointment. Then had to wat another two weeks to see a nurse for blood pressure, height and weight etc. Hes now been called back for another blood test so another 2 weeks for another blood test and then wait for however long it takes the results to come back and then to contact us to make another appointment for the results. So all in all after not seeing the doctor for 8 years I still can't get my husband through the doors as it takes 5 months from first point of contact to actually seen a doctor. This is absolutely ridiculous and is putting people at risk. There's no way, no matter what the circumstances with staffing levels etc that it should take 5 months for this process. We can't use covid as an excuse still . I'm with a different local surgery and both daughters in Southampton and Havant surgeries have nothing Like these waits so why is stokewood so bad?
