Had some not so good news about my eyesight future. The team there (sorry, I didn't get the ophthalmologist's name) were incredibly clear on my options for the future and left feeling reassured for my future care. Deal with compassion and understanding. When the time comes I'll definitely be coming to Optimax to explore my options. Thanks guys!

A better and more subtle approach would be nicer, especially for surgery.

More info after surgery:
I had my LASIK surgery today and Dr Ghassan Ayoubi and everyone at Optimax was friendly and professional. So far I had a great experience with them from start to finish. My first consultation was in central London where they examined my eyes with different machines and told me I was suitable for surgery (I was -3.75 / -3.50 and a tiny bit of astigmatism I think 0.25). Then I had a video call with Dr Ghassan Ayoubi via Zoom call. He is a very knowledgeable and kind person. This morning I arrived at 8:50AM and finished at 12:15PM. The actual surgery is only 15min. Very quick and dont worry you dont feel anything. After the surgery I could see better but my vision was a bit blurry/foggy. After a few hours post surgery My eyes were very watery and I keep crying (I didt feel any pain but discomfort when my eyes were open). Now its 6PM my vision is almost not blurry/foggy at all. I have to put eye drops every 2h which they really help. Again, I dont feel pain, it feels like I have something in my eyes when the effect of the eye drops disappears. Well, actually for some reason my right eye only keeps bothering me sometimes but it is normal I mean I just had surgery after all. Tomorrow I have my post surgery appointment to make sure everything looks fine.
3 weeks post surgery;
My vision is perfect. I stopped with the medical eye drops. I dont have any discomfort. My eyes feel a lil bit dry sometimes so Im using refreshing eye drops when I feel its necessary however my dry eyes are getting better day by bay. I know my surgeon told me to dont exercise for 2 weeks but I actually started going to the gym 4 days after my surgery. I avoided any water or sweat going inside my eyes.
I have another visit next month to make sure everything is fine. The doctors really are professional and after surgery I felt very well taken car of with multiple visits.
Hope this post was helpful

Was so excited to meet the surgeon on the day I went to Optimax Finchley to meet the surgeon, Once I went to the room to meet the surgeon not even 5min went past and the surgeon said i am not suitable for laser eye surgery as my prescription is high and I got high astigmatism, and said I dont know why the optometrists has taken this further as he should of picked this up straightway he should of not had booked you in for a surgeon appointment.
Called customer service once I was back and explained them what happen they go we cant do anything as you was told its a non-refundable when have consolation with the surgeon. They didnt even listen what surgeon said to me. So from start the optometrist knew I wasnt suitable for it but he still sent me so they can take that 60 of me very poor robbing people like this.
It was a mistake on their side if that was the case then I would not have paid 60 to them and lose out my money!!
