Gillray's Steakhouse & Bar

Was seated immediately even though no reservations at a table with a view of the Thames River. Waiter was so attentive and so friendly. Prices are higher than normal places we go to but was worth money spent. Fish and Chips best I've had. Mushy peas so good I wanted more. Son had Angus beef burger and truffle crusted asparagus, outstanding. For dessert sharted sticky pudding so good. Wonderful experience.

Grabbed dinner here and I have to say I was impressed. I ordered the ribeye steak with rosemary potatoes and green beans, and it was absolutely fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection and very tender, the potatoes were nicely cooked and not overpowering, and green beans had a hint of garlic in a butter. The steak was extremely flavourful and really didnt need the red wine sauce that I had ordered. The Caesar side salad was delicious, and brownie dessert fresh and just out of this world. The staff were very courteous and polite, very attentive yet overwhelming, and service was efficient. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the Thames and definitely one of the best hotel restaurants over ever eaten in in fact, you wouldnt think you were in a hotel with the quality and flavour of the food. I would eat here again without question.
