The Wedding Wardrobe

Was looking for a wedding gown to hire for my pre-wedding session and the staff were so helpful and friendly. They also provide a good range of selection for size 6 girls. Highly recommended!

Whilst I didn't purchase my dress from here in the end, I had such a wonderful experience I just had to leave a review! I would highly recommend The Wedding Wardrobe to anybody who's looking for a friendly, relaxed, personal experience. My bridesmaid and I had a warm welcome from Kirsty and we had the whole shop to ourselves for 1.5 hours. Kirsty offered lovely help and comments throughout I was lucky enough to have Katrina join my appointment, she is the seamstress for the store. She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced; not only did she pin me into dresses like they do at all the other stores, but she used her expertise to suggest ways each dress could be altered to suit me even more. For example she might add a few pins to change the neckline, add straps, or talk me through how she might change the shape of the hem. She gave brilliant advice on what styles, fabrics and accessories might suit me. I'd really encourage you to try on everything that Katrina pulls for you - one of the dresses I liked the most was something I'd never have chosen on the hanger myself! The tone of the appointment was just perfect - I never felt rushed, pressured or overwhelmed (even though there are dozens of gorgeous, high-quality dresses to choose from) To top it all off, Claire the owner followed up with me after the appointment to see if I wanted to book a return appointment. It really is a remarkable service, even more so considering you don't have to pay for an appointment, unlike most other bridal shops. Bought a dress from Freda Bennet from the wedding wardrobe, and was very happy. It has is great to have the flexibility to go in and try dresses from so many small to medium designers and not have to pay to try them on (a big selling point tbh)! The dress had to be fitted under short notice and even though it was a bit stressful because it came slightly big, within 2 weeks it was completely fixed and fit the timelines without any problem - the fitter is simply superb and so kind! Going back, would have repeated the experience! Just be conscious of extras/extra fitting costs that might not be included when you think of changing any of the dresses!

I really enjoyed my experience at Wedding Wardrobe. It was my first and last wedding dress appointment because I found the one within an hour. Lots of dresses to choose from and very friendly and professional service. I had an accessory appointment where I chose my veil and they completed all my alterations. Everything was perfect.
