7 years ago my ex-partner and I went to the Water Lane Cottage for family therapy, we had a 10 month old baby. After a couple of sessions my then partner continued having therapy with the same therapist (Christine Hudges who became Ms Usher during his therapy) for approximately 9 months during which he left the family home, initiated and conducted what Ms Usher later described as "the most cruel custody battle". Two years later I reported Ms Usher for breaching confidentiality amongst other issues.

If you want your partner to leave you and to have their head filled with bad advice with no thought for the impact on the family then send them here for an appointment.

Waterlane Cottage is a fantastic place. It's such a welcoming environment full of lovely people. Originally I was very anxious about enquiring for sessions but the staff at Waterlane showed me I needn't be. I have grown so much in my time at Waterlane and am over the moon with my progress. I'd recommend therapy for everyone! It is wonderful to discover things about yourself and to allow yourself to heal.
