We recently had our loft converted by Herts and Essex Lofts, and I can honestly say that they exceeded all our expectations. From the initial consultation with Marc to the final result, Demi - the project manager, Damien and Gary - the loft builders, Mark the carpenter, Steve the electrician, Jay and Danny the roofers and the rest of the team were all professional and efficient. Each team that worked on the project was skilled, experienced, and tidy, and their work was completed to an exceptionally high standard with great attention to detail. Throughout the project, the team worked tirelessly to ensure that it was completed on time and within budget, while still maintaining a high level of quality. They were always available to answer any questions that we had, and they made sure that nothing was missed and no corners were cut. The teams were always friendly and approachable, and they took the time to explain everything in detail if needed. We appreciated how Demi the project manager kept us informed at every stage of the project, and their attention to detail was exceptional. The final result of the loft conversion is simply stunning. The workmanship is second to none, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I have no hesitation in recommending Herts and Essex Lofts to anyone who is looking for a high-quality loft conversion. The company truly deserve five stars for their outstanding service and exceptional workmanship.

We used Herts and Essex Lofts last year to convert our loft into two double bedrooms and a bathroom, Marc the owner gave us a price and payment plan we were happy with and kept to this all the way though the project. All of his team were fantastic, friendly and polite, whilst being led by the project manager Demi who was brilliant at his job. We love the space that has been provided and the quality of the work, there really is no weak link in all of the trades that are involved during each stage of the project. Another reason for this review is that just before Xmas and with my wife heavily pregnant we were having a separate ground floor extension done via another company who could not meet any deadlines, which meant we would be left with no plumbing work in place before the baby arrived, such as kitchen, downstairs toilet etc. At the shortest of notice Herts and Essex Lofts kindly agreed for there plumber to come in and help us out and to there word the team came and got all of this work done for us in time for our new baby. We will always be grateful to Akis the plumber and his team for stepping in, they are lovely people. Herts and Essex Lofts are a credit to the trade and we highly recommend them.

We had Herts & Essex complete our loft conversion earlier this year and we would highly recommend them. From start to finish they were completely professional and great to work with. Marc visited our property initially in order to produce a written quote. Unlike a number of other trades (or loft conversion companies no doubt), this written quote was valid right until completion of the job, with no hidden extras. Any extra costs along the way were driven by a change in scope (eg extra VELUX window, sliding ensuite door etc) and it was made explicitly clear what the extra costs were and it was our decision to proceed with the change or not. We used Tony as our architect who was recommended by a friend and commonly used by H&E. Tony was fantastic by visiting shortly after paying the deposit and he gave us some great advice about the room layout etc, and produced a design extremely quickly following a visit. We had Connor run the project from start to finish and was excellent to deal with. No issue was too big to resolve, and he was always quick to respond. Connor, Reece (H&E) and all the other tradesmen included within the quote (eg electricians, carpenters, plasterers, plumbers plus tiler who was recommended but not included in H&E quote) were all of a very high standard, professional and very friendly. Overall I couldn't fault anyone involved from start to finish and would highly recommend Herts & Essex if you are looking for a professional and high quality loft conversion company.

I'd just like to add a resounding recommendation for Herts & Essex Lofts who have just finished our loft conversion and refurbishment of our tiny 1st floor bathroom. The experience has been amazing from start to finish. Having never had work done on our house before, I felt really clueless and was dreading having workpeople in the house. The whole team were highly professional and extremely friendly and actually a pleasure to have around the house. Marc came and talked through the plans before providing a very reasonable quote and stuck to all agreements and was very clear about the process throughout. The team kept to schedule and always listened to our requests and ideas about what we wanted done. Cally and Jamie who did the initial build were absolutely lovely and a firm favourite with our nosey 2 year old who still talks about them 2 months later! Everyone meticulously cleaned up after themselves every day and were very respectful of our home. Demi the project manager was always available, unphased by anything and rapidly sorted out any small problems that popped up along the way. Shout out to Bardi, the fantastic tile wizard, too. We're super happy with the results.

Wed like to praise Herts&Essex for their brilliant work on our loft. We checked out several companies before going ahead - Herts&Essex werent the cheapest but we went cheap during our first refurb and know how costly that can end up! We had our plans for an L-dormer drawn up by the companys architect, Herts&Essex then did the building notice on our behalf and were helpful arranging an agreed party wall surveyor. They have various teams - ours was headed up by foreman Deen and Travis, and we can vouch for their meticulous work. They really went above and beyond, suggesting clever improvements and having a very can-do attitude. The structure was completed in a month, including partition walls, new roofing and staircase. Next was the second-fix team laying the flooring, skirting, architraves and doors, fitting the kitchen and bathroom. Plumbing and electricity was completed seamlessly alongside and the decorator finished up - all in just under 3 months. Were really happy with the end product, but even the process was not the ordeal that we had imagined - we were able to continue working from home and had regular visits from Demi who project managed the build and updated us at each stage as to what to expect. Highly recommended.
