While the hotel as a property is beautiful and situated in a good location, the service we received from the staff is not indicative of a 5 star experience. There were multiple issues with checking into our rooms, including letting people into others rooms, cards not working and not having someone ready to collect luggages. At multiple times when calling the reception no one would pick up and we would have to go down (a separate building) and wait for 5-10 before someone would come assist us. A 5 star hotel should have someone at reception at all times and ensure they pick up calls, not making guests have to leave their rooms for a simple service. We had issues with the hotels restaurant, despite having made a reservation and a specific request. The Maitre had a terrible attitude and was making rude comments, really not the way to treat a big group of guests in an expensive hotel. The heaters were off in the corridor, making it cold there, and instead of our main heating system working in the room we were given a small electric heater - which is not expected of a 5 start hotel. Food was okay, pool & spa good but spa only open between 10-6. Overall, we were left disappointed with the hotels management given its status and pricing and would not be visiting again. This is a shame as the hotel and the rooms are truly beautiful, but you want to be treated as a 5-star hotel guest when paying an equivalent price. I also overheard staff saying someone left us a horrible review on google - a comment that should not be made in open space for guests to hear, as it is very unprofessional.

HORRIBLE. Worst experience in a hotel. The hotel and the scenery is beautiful however the experience was horrible so I suggest to book somewhere else and go there for a tea or drinks if really keen to see the venue. 1- We arrived at around 4pm after a long drive. It took more than 2 hours to accomodate everyone in the rooms. This is because some members of the group I was with was escorted and entered rooms belonging to other people. We had to point out the mistake at the concierge as they did not realised it. This is unacceptable and Im sure the guests of the room would have been not happy to know that their belongings were not safe and anyone could enter their room. 2-key rooms had to be changed multiple times as they were not activated/working. 3-We booked dinner for the group at the main restaurant for 9pm. As the whole group approached the restaurant at 9:05/9:10 it was told us that it was too late and that we could not order since the kitchen was closed. However we could sit at the Brasserie and order from there the very same food. Of course it did not make any sense. The Maitre was extremely rude and after much arguing asked us to stand in the tea room waiting for them to decide if we would have been served. After waiting 10 minutes he brought us the menu saying we had to order from there and then they might be able to sit us. Opening the menu the first thing you see is that kitchen is open until 21:30. See the photo attached. The behaviour of the stuff was horrible and unprofessional. 4-On Monday morning, which was part of the holiday, the room phone rang 3 times every 10 minutes starting from 8am. This is absolutely unacceptable. They called us to say that they could not serve us breakfast at the time we indicated and they accepted but 1h earlier so they had to wake up the entire group. 5- As I could not bear anymore the abuses during the stay I confronted the concierge saying that I would make sure i would write my feedback on Booking and the other available platforms. She then tried to buy my silence offering to take around 100 off my bill. I immediately rejected the offer saying that I found my stay disgusting. After rejecting the offer to buy my silence the concierge immediately changed her behaviour and narrative becoming aggressive and saying I addressed the concierge person as disgusting and so on. In general it was the worst interaction I have ever had in a hotel. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. 6- The breakfast that morning was served to us not in the main room but on the side as a way of retaliation to our complaints. Avoid this place our holiday was completely ruined by choosing to stay here.
