A cross between the perfect bookshop, bookshop, the perfect coffee shop, and the library at Hogwarts. This place is amazing - you can buy a bottle of capsules for 'inspiration' or 'encouragement' and each one includes a line of poetry curled up. There are glass jars full of 'creative juices' and if you need to, you can visit the TSELIOT. It is primarily a book shop, with the best range I've ever seen of poetry books, books about or by poets, and how-to or technical writing books. A place to uplift the heart and make you smile.

I loved it here. The welcome was so warm, it felt like I was visiting friends. Good coffee, good vegan cake and shelves abundant with poetry. Fantastic gifts too, at very reasonable prices. I hope to be able to return.

Excellent choice of upmarket coffee and tea. Tasty Bakewell tart. The disgusting language seen in the Poetry bookshop books and gifts area - i.e. the "f" word. I would not take a child in there. Warnings needed urgently. Trendy , I suppose , to use foul language but not family friendly.

The Poetry Package - a collaboration between The Castle Hotel and Poetry Pharmacy. As someone that has a creative writing degree and loves a UK staycation, this package felt like it was made for me! But what did the package entail whilst at the Poetry Pharmacy We then took a very short walk out across the square to the Poetry Pharmacy for a half hour poetry consultation with Deborah Alma. After my consultation, I was prescribed Wild Remedy - some wonderful poems to encourage me to get outdoors more as its very much my happy place. The very lovely Deborah, the Emergency Poet, even challenged me to take my poems our into the wilderness to fully appreciate them which I cant wait to do. There is the very wholesome option of heading out into the Poetry Physic Garden and the writing hut, which is stocked with supplies for making herbal infusions picked from the garden itself, but as it was mid-winter I opted for a coffee and flapjack in the adjoining coffee shop! Was just a little warmer! We then perused the shelves of the many incredible books where I had to repeatedly remind myself of my book buying ban as my TBR pile is taller than me!
