The Chai Shop

We were staying in Bishop's Castle for a few days and got food to take out from Tara on our first night there. Tara was lovely and great to chat to, all the food was freshly made and tasted lovely. Good selection which changes every day and a lot of vegan options. Didn't take any photos as we ate it too quickly Would highly recommend it.

Excellent food and the nicest lady who really seems like the heart of the town. Had some lovely chats with her and her customers. The best samosas and curry we have had and the rice was lovely. Husband doesn't really like rice but he had 2nds. Took a takeaway back to our campsite. Loved the chai too. Wish we could have fitted in a cake. They looked really good

So lucky Tara is so close. Booked a special birthday meal for 6 & picked it up fresh & piping hot with huge home made samosas & bages. We had 3 curry's that I chose~mutton, chicken & vegetable with aubergines, rice & chutney & raita thrown in. Tara does offer banquets which she lays out for you & washes up at your home but we managed ourselves! The cafe itself is cosy & displays all her beautiful art work. What a talented woman.

Delicious homemade food and good chat. Tara went out of her way to make me feel welcome, even though she was about to close. It was like having dinner in a friend's kitchen. Fantastic vegetarian options, too.
