Do not use if you want to get anywhere fast...they take days to reply, ignore emails even when sent multiple times. I sold my house in February and have spoke to the solicitor maybe twice over the phone, everything done my email, when they reply, and the response is usually abrupt. Not the service youd expect when paying thousands, I understand covid has had an effect on things but I dont think its an excuse anymore. Wouldnt recommend this company at all due to my experience, stressful from the start, no help, and I have found to be doing some of the work myself.

Meikles instructed to carry out Probate for my aunt in March 2020. Months passed, communication poor and we constantly needed to chase them. Excuses made,verbal complaints made to no avail. Theyre ignoring us ( and my aunts Legal Deputies too) Probate has not been granted, we dont even know when it will be. Covid is not the reason for this unacceptable delay - unless they had stopped taking other work whilst they dealt with that which was incomplete- and that I doubt. No option now but to approach the Ombudsman as my aunt cannot pay her care home fees, nor sell her house until Probate from her sister is concluded. The stress of dealing with this is immense and damaging to our health which as pensioners ourselves is beyond unprofessional. Dont use this company for anything My mother died 6 months after my aunt, we selected another solicitor from a large firm and while all Probates are different, everything was concluded within 3 months
