Normally never have a problem here, usually very helpful. Today I was issued a token number by my gas supplier so they could put credit on my gas card and the post office said they didn't have a clue how to do it? They tried a couple of times but even the main boss couldn't/wouldn't do it! So I now have to wait for the gas to run out and then I can call an engineer to come and add the credit!!!! Surely if an energy company issues a credit for a prepayment meter and give you the address of the shop/post office to use, they should know how to do it? I had a representative from the energy company in a live chat and she said they are messing me about and they should know how to input a simple RTI (remote token issue) they didn't even know what RTI meant.! This is an obvious need for training, as its extremely frustrating walking all the way to the village to be told they don't know how to input a simple code, that the supplier issues to anyone facing the same problems. The company are putting the onus on the Post Office to be aware of how to do this simple transaction, especially considering they deal with payment cards for all suppliers, and I have to agree.
