I had 4 x Goodyear Wrangler HP A/W 235/60 R18 V (103) tyres fitted on my SUV that became extremely loud and initially thought it was rear bearings causing it (even bought new rear bearings as I was convinced they must have be worn out). Then a garage checked tyres tread surface which turned out to be uneven hence causing this unbearable noise. I did less than 8k miles on these. I'm on Michelin now (didn't like this brand before because they don't last as long as GoodYear). The differences so far - they're more quiet, it feels like less rolling resistance and given I have to replace faulty GoodYear tyres before they even get close their legal minimum tread limit it's probably better to get other brands instead which may wear off quicker but overall last longer and safer to drive. I also got 4 x GoodYear EfficiencyGrip Performance 2 205/55 R16 91V for my other car and one of the tyres has now a bulge on the side as per photos. We only did 7-9k miles on them as well. Unfortunately, I'll have to switch my favourite GoodYear brand after all my experiences as the QC and overall product quality seem to have degraded significantly.
