Place is in desperate need of a refurbishment I think it's the same as it was when i last went years ago the furniture definitely needs changing the service was first class the food was ok the portions have reduced including the chicken Nambali one of my fave starters to order. Rogan josh was tasty abit spicy for my liking but nonetheless quality food the salad could have been cut smaller onions and tomatoes cut way too big to be able to eat them without cutting them smaller. Dessert was rasmali abit disappointed more milk then anything else in there. I feel its the same as it was 10 years ago but very worn out and outdated now the menu the same nothing new added. Give it a refurbishment and add some new items

I traveled to Akhbars Birmingham as I was looking to share a good experience with guests and everything was great other than my maa as in reason for going there and that was the lamb baltis, in which I ordered two. They were on the cold side but the main issue was the balti meat was not tender and soft as I was use to receiving. Did make them aware as soon as I was asked if all was well, was told the info would be passed on. Was asked second time in which I had a more in depth conversation and I was told it was cooked well. I could see it was not cooked well and the biggest issue was the meat was not falling apart when under pressure from firm Nan press it remained intact. So I made him aware of that then I was told I should have said earlier to which I said I did inform your colleague when first asked. Other than that everything else was well and the chicken currys I ordered korma and chicken saag were made with fresh meat. Im now unsure if I ought to try again as it was only due to the balti meat not being fresh. I dont drink or smoke and like to spend on food as its my social as well as myself where I like to spend my Parking: Great parking
