Whilst this station does not have a walk-in front counter anymore it does have an intercom at the front door which connects directly to the police call centre. This station is manned by both the Alvechurch and Wythall and the Rubery and Hagley Safer Neighbourhood Teams. If there is nobody in the station it is because they are out on patrol. My understanding was that they closed the front counter because they were paying someone to spend the whole day sitting at the front desk without anybody actually going in to see them. Now that's a waste of money!

Never manned and the police presence in the area is below requirement. Bit of a waste of a building really.
