I went along for an eye test and was immediately made to feel welcome by the staff. My examination was detailed and thorough and I was informed at all times of what was happening and the reasons for it. I found it the most thorough eye examination I had had for a very long time. I was advised by the optometrist that I would need to come back and have my pupils dilated to check the backs of my eyes and my reaction to light, this again was a pleasant and informative experience and the staff were beyond courteous at all times. My new spectacles were tried on and fitted at the same time as this appointment and I am extremely happy with the quality of my frames and lenses. I will certainly be going back to Small Heath for any additional pairs of spectacles and sunglasses I purchase in the future. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the staff and the way that I was treated. From the second you walk through the door Sophia & Co. really look after you. Choosing my new spectacles is usually a nightmare but with the aid of mirrors and a little patience they got me 2 pairs of fabulous specs! I would recommend Asda Small Heath Opticians to anyone in family or circle or friends. Thank you very much. 5 Stars. Brendan

I really should give even 1 star ,I came with my daughter 7 years for eye test was told that she needs specks -1.25 and 1 they were forcing to buy specks as my daughter was 7 years and gets free specks .Told I will come on Thursday after school hours .So came on Thursday and was inform by the manager that we cannot look frames as her mother wanted to see the fram before you buy I told the manager that the eye specialist has told us to come on Thursday after school hours and she would help us to choose a frame ,The manager has a attitude in hospitality business, how Asda supports this people you are loosing business ,went to speckswver they welcome with a smile ,help us out and bought a specks for my daughter. Best part as I was not happy I book a eyes specialist in Birmingham and my daughter eyes is -.50 not -1.25. So beware if you are buying first time specks for your daughter.
