Austin Rose Nursing Home

Austin Rose in West Heath has taken really good care of my mother in law since she moved in nearly 4 years ago. Although we weren't able to visit during the early months of Covid they did make provision for us to visit as soon as was possible and did try to make as many video calls as possible. They allow us to visit at any time which I have heard recently is not standard practice across other care homes, this really helps us to visit when needed. The staff here are excellent and many go out of their way to help the residents even when some of them give a lot of grief (I have witnessed this). The only downside is their struggle to recruit enough staff and everyone seems to be constantly stretched. However, this is the same across all care facilities. We are very happy with Austin Rose, they have good management and staff in place and we feel Mum is in good safe hands.

Always clean...food looks great...friendly staff. My brother is a permanent resident who is well looked after and lucky to be there. There is always something going on...plenty of staff on hand and very pleasant rooms and facilities. So glad he got accepted here...its wonderful

My mother recently got admitted to Austin Rose Care Home. I live in New York and arranged for a video virtual tour of the premises. Aimee-Dee hosted the virtual tour and she went well out of her way to show me the facilities on all three floors with my Mum in a wheelchair. The facilities are clean, tidy and there is ample space in the dining rooms. There is also a large TV room and a gym. My Mum's room was spacious with an en-suite bathroom with all of her toiletries. Mum had participated on Valentine's Day in decorating a heart shaped plate. She did a great job with no help! I cannot thank Aimee enough for putting my mind at ease. I also got to meet some of Mum's new friends at the Home who had nothing but good things to say about the facilities. Thank you Aimee for taking the time out of your busy day to host the virtual tour. Jaz.

As a visitor I find the reception staff very pleasant and helpful. I have not had much interaction with other staff but I feel that my friend i visit is well cared for and happy. The activity facilities are well done. Lovely premises and welcoming.
