Recently visited my father in law here who was offered respite following a fall and hospital admission. Im a health care professional and I have to say I was really impressed, from the warm welcome on reception, and the escort to his room, to the warm and attentive staff who really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and also offer my father in law, choice, dignity, and person centred care. I asked if I could purchase some hot drinks for myself and my wife, I though there might be a kitchen/cafe there as its quite a big building. But I was told by one of the lovely staff that they would make us drinks. A few minutes later we had our tea and coffee with complimentary biscuits. This attention to detail and welcoming spirit is a credit to this establishment. My father in law could not praise staff enough, and thats good enough for me, as hes very fussy. Well done to all the staff we meet and who made my father in law feel like he was being cared for and not just tolerated.

The best care home I have ever seen. A well maintained home with a good staff. More like a rehabilitation center. Person centered care delivered to its best.

Visited a friend today she's unable to get about so doesn't use ensuite in the room.I went in ensuite to wash my hands after giving my friend a message the ensuite was absolutely disgusting dirty staff obviously use it to flush urine etc in toilet the toilet was dirty so was the sink and it looked like ensuite has not been cleaned in awhile.A member of staff came in to give my friend some liquids the way she spoke was so rude

My opinion of AR has changed dramatically over the past 2 months. No longer am I assured my mother is getting the quality of care I first saw 4months ago. I'm having to verbally complain nearly every week now. This is unacceptable. Night staff who wouldn't do personal toilet care "because he didn't think it was his job". Seriously!?!? If you don't want the role of Carer DONT APPLY! Staff said its not the first time they've had complaints about him!! Surely ONE complaint is more than enough!!!! I've spent 6hrs here at AR today purely because I'm waiting for my mother to be dressed before I leave!! Not happy or impressed!!!!!!
