        I went there early 60's. Like to pay tribute to teachers Mr Williams, but Mr Jones in particular who I believe sparked and developed my interest and ability in mathematics. I subsequently went on to read Physics at B'ham Uni, then PhD in Astrophysics by research at Queen Mary London. Truly truly happy days there...and so obviously; THANKS!!

        At the last Inspection, in 2017, Ofsted said that this was a "Good" school. In their letter to the Head, the Inspector said: "The openness of the leadership team has enabled both pupils and staff to flourish. You have created a culture in the school where pupils and staff feel highly valued. As a result, your schools motto of building the foundations for your childs future - together permeates throughout. The school has a warm welcoming feel and all stakeholders are keen for the school to continue to move forward. Parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the school, especially regarding communication. For example, they now have access to an app which keeps them updated on what is happening in the school, an outdoor television, and regular newsletters."
