We have been sending our two daughters here fulltime since March and we only wish we had sent them to Highfield sooner. All of the staff have been responsive and professional with our queries, and our girls have flourished in their relatively short time in Highfield. This has been echoed by other parents whom we have met and spoken to. I therefore completely disagree with what has been said by a previous reviewer; our experience has been the complete opposite and it seems unfair to staff who have worked hard to maintain high standards in Highfield and make it what it is. We wholeheartedly recommend Highfield Day Nursery to parents who would want good quality childcare and education for their kids.

Nice nursery and thats about it. When parents do finally get the 15 or 30 hours of vouchers from the government for working parents this nursery likes to impose their own tariffs on how you can use them. They limit how many free hours you can use per day and not only that they limit how much you can use in the morning and afternoon. With this you end up spending more. Please check for yourself. This nursery is a business and very well placed to pull wool over the eyes of ofsted inspectors placing themselves very well to score high on inspection days but on a normal day its A business as usual unfortunately. Ofsted should know better. Staff are nice some staff speak in slang which is not good for kids. They are tolerant with late pick ups etc as long as its not a repeat occurrence. Do not use ofsted as a benchmark to choose your childs nursery. Go to the nursery and talk to staff look around! And read terms and conditions. They seem to spend more time updating online photos and diaries of the kids then actually interacting. Kids are not challenged no recognition if the kid is underperforming or even over performing and as such move to the next level in that particular activity. Run of the mill nursery. As stated they are well placed to pull wool over your eyes and that of ofsted. Ofsted has imposed so much on nurserys that they spend their time fulfilling their wishes and not the ones of children!
