I went here quite a while ago for violin lessons, and it was okay-ish. The music teachers need to stop pressuring their students into doing exams. They should teach them how to generally improve on technique, sound, etc rather that skipping all the way to exams (which do help you improve but it's far better to wait to do exams/ wait between each level of exams). They should also push their students to do better. They were sending me home with one line of music to practice when I had 3 years experience....that doesn't sound right. I don't know about the other teachers, but I was not taught music theory very well at all either. I eventually got another teacher who had to catch me up on everything and tell me I was far more capable that doing 1 line of music a week.
