This was definitely some of the best service Ive had. I contacted James Bentley motors via autotrader and got a call from Sam who was really polite and informative about the Mercedes I wanted. I had contacted other dealers at the same time but Sam seemed really trustworthy on the phone so I went ahead with him. I inspected the car and took it for a drive and it was exactly as described on the advert. Sam also did the transfer of ownership to me and set up my tax debit as well. The car so far drives amazing and the experience was amazing overall.

My 17 year old son bought his first car, with his own money, and the car had been cleverly bodged up, and it had to be sold for scrap value. No morals what so ever.

AVOID at ALL costs! I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received after purchasing a death trap. Only had the car for 9 weeks when things started to go wrong. Got in contact and was ignored. Broke down on the smart motorway with 2 babies and a child in the car , the motorway police had to close the lane because we would have been killed. Ive spent over 1000 to get this car repaired and now its been verified by 2 independent garages that its unrepairable. I contacted Trading Standards who assured me I was entitled to a refund. So I sent the required letter and on the 14th day (last day) was contacted by Sam who said that the email went to Spam and the letter (that was signed for) must have been delivered to a different site hmmm??? Sam refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the car and said that if the car was originally no good then it would have only last a week, and that he cant possibly check every car that comes in And I replied if you had said that it would only last for 9 weeks, do you think I would have purchased it?? Sam said that he wanted to fix the car for me and to bring it to him after I told him that 2 garages said that the fuel pump and DPF had gone. The next day after I had spoken to him the started motor went and I couldnt move the car at all. I really needed this to go to small claims but unfortunately the MOT is due and I just havent got the time. So Ive had to bite the bullet and take the loss. Much to his happiness. I wish Sam and his team all the best with their business and a massive thank you for ripping us off. Dont buy from them, we nearly got killed!
