Fireplaces and fireplace surrounds, which are sometimes described as mantels or hearths are the furniture which accompanies a gas fire, electric fire or solid fuel fire.
Wood Fireplaces
Made from natural hard woods, MDF, or softwood pine our wooden surround options are limitless. Whether you are looking for traditional surrounds that feature ornate corbels or contemporary minimalist designs, we have something for everyone. Popular colours include natural oak, jocobean oak and dark oak which are available in a number of finishes.
Marble Fireplaces
Whether it is natural marble which is quarried from the earth or man-made composite, marble fireplaces are a popular choice for UK homeowners. Marble fireplaces are the focal point of any room, the cold to touch surface of a marble mantle and the light colours on offer can help uplift any living space. Our made to measure marble fireplaces are durable, easy to maintain and completely safe to be installed with gas or electric fires. There are a variety of light marble colours to choose from and we can design your fireplace to almost any shape and size.
Granite Fireplaces
Granite fireplaces can add a touch of sophistication to any interior. Made from 100% natural granite that is quarried from beneath the Earths surface, Granite fireplaces are hard wearing, easy to maintain and due to the dense composition can be installed with almost any fire without risk of cracking under pressure.
Granite fireplaces are almost always black in colour and feature a highly polished surface which is easy to clean and maintain. Natural Black Granite fireplaces are the most consistent in terms of colour variation and perhaps the most hard wearing of Granites available, making it an ideal choice to accompany a wide range of electric, gas and solid fuel type fires.
Limestone Fireplaces
Natural, warm and elegant are some of the words often used to describe limestone fireplaces. Limestone used in the fireplace industry is sustainably sourced from quarries in Portugal and the Mediterranean. The varieties on offer differ depending on the source, for example if you are looking for off white colours with veins and patterns then Limestone sourced from Portugal would be your choice. If for example you are looking for brighter shades of white with little or no pattern then perhaps Agean limestone would be better suited.
Limestone is a sedimentary rock, however the calcite in limestone is as hard as that of marble making it ideal for a fireplace.
Cast Iron Fireplaces
Cast iron has long been used for furnishing fireplaces due to its strength and ability to resist and disperse high temperatures. Our range of renaissance cast iron fireplaces aim to revive the style and culture of coal and wood burning fireplaces of yesteryear. Cast iron fireplaces are built to last and are available in a number of different styles. If you are renovating a period property, or are looking to add a touch of character to your modern home, then please browse through our range of cast iron fireplaces and inserts.
