The thunderers are so much better than the typical taiwan whistles you find in sports shops. It's It's shame that sports shops like sports direct and jd sports don't sell this brand in their stores. I am a teaching assistant, and I have two beautiful staffy puppies who I need to train. Acme has been a saviour in my career and personal life. Funny enough, my puppies respond to the lower tone whistles than the higher pitch whistles. But, it goes to show that there is a range of variety of metals and plastics. These little whistles are fantastic not only for sport, teaching, or training but a life savour too to get anyones attention as Acme whistles can reach over a mile radius. Also, it may come in handy for cold calls as a lovely surprise for them! Get yourself an Acme. They last years, they're perfectly shrill and loud. I absolutely love this company and part of the British heritage.
