Walkers Chocolates

hi i bought this from carrefour hub nairobi , it was a new sealed box of chocolate but it was messed up inside. how can I be assisted ?

On 19th of December 2022 I bought a box of walkers chocolates (Red box) from Carrefour supermarket in Kenya as a Christmas present for my wife. We kept them in a cool place to enjoy after Christmas. However, on opening them this afternoon, we could not believe what we were seeing. Over half the chocolates were missing and the rest that were left (about a third or even less) were scattered and splattered in ugly pieces. We are very disappointed as we don't know what to do with them. We do not believe they're fit for consumption. The chocolates were completely sealed before opening , and that's why we were shocked to see so many empty holders in the box. If they had melted we would have seen some remnants, but this wasn't the case. I have proof of photos to support this statement. I contacted Carrefour stores in Nairobi and the customer care department said they cannot help as the product return window of 14 days passed. I am at a loss and had I known that this situation happens, I would never have bothered to purchase your chocolates. I am turning to you because I believe there's still hope in solving this as your company is responsible for selling products as advertised. Please could you let us know how we can get a refund or a replacement ? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
