The experience was 10/10. I would highly recommend Nicky to do your makeup for your next special occasion!!! I felt relaxed and totally comfortable whilst having my makeup done. Nicky regularly asked if I was happy with the look at each stage which I appreciated. In addition to this, Nicky provided helpful skincare tips and also recommended products for my skin. From the moment I stepped into my makeup trail with Nicky, I KNEW she was the one that would do my makeup on my wedding day. She is the most professional makeup artist Ive come across and her attention to detail is like none other. What I really love is that she listens to her clients but also supports them throughout leading up to the wedding day. Im not a big makeup wearer so I was worried that I wouldnt look like myself on my wedding day and the makeup would look like a lot, at the trail I was a little nervous, but Im so happy I trusted the process. Nicky is a professional and was very timely with responding to me, if I had any questions etc. I looked flawless on my day and nope, the makeup DID NOT move the entire day. On the morning of my wedding, Nicky was on time and prompt and didnt just do my makeup, she helped to calm my nervous, supported me and reassured me on different aspects of the wedding day. Our wedding day in August 2022 would not have been the same without Nickys bridal pre-wedding prep, care and advice. We first spoke last January, and I was immediately at ease with Nicky, who was able to tell me all the things I needed to know (and didnt know I needed to ask!) before the wedding. Nicky also recommended my wonderful hair stylist Selina, and the two ladies worked fantastically together in the run up to and on my big day. Most of us brides are doing this for the first (and hopefully only!!) time, and planning a wedding is no easy task! To help, I made notes for all of the potential vendors I spoke to along the way. Looking back at those notes reminds me how much Nicky told and taught me about skin-care, and her knowledge of makeup and skin-care. 4 months later, and I am still using the skin-care routines and products Nicky recommended to me, and what struck me is that the process is not just about make-up on the wedding day, but part of a process to prepare you and your skin before the wedding and well into the future as a new bride. Before the big day, I had a make-up trial with Nicky. Seeing the way she used her skills to make me look like a bride was awe-inspiring, I was so excited to have seen the sneak preview of what I would look like as a bride, and could not stop smiling! On the day, Nicky and her assistant did my make-up, along with my 4 bridesmaids, flower girl, and my Mum. All of my ladies looked wonderful! When I became emotional during the getting ready process, it was Nicky who helped to ready me for how overwhelmed it suddenly felt when I realised this is it in the make-up chair. I am so grateful to have found a professional, knowledgable, warm and wonderful MUA in Nicky, and would book her 1000 times over for a wedding. I just want to say firstly, THANK YOU NICKY. It was an absolute delight having you to do my maid of honour make-up, and I wont change it. I felt comfortable in my own skin as the makeup excelled my expectations and embrace the features I have. I was getting compliments left, right and centre by family,friends and strangers!!! It lasted me the whole day, the saddest part of the day was taking it off because how AMAZING it still looked after 15 HOURS and in photos. You did magic that day, when defining my lips without it looking too out there, which was spectacular. Lastly, you are an amazing person to be around, down to earth, one of the best artists I have ever met and thank you once again. :)
