Excellent, a genuine treat. Authentic dishes cooked with care and very helpful staff. Vegetarian options: The lentil and black bean curry is excellent.

I'm not the kind of person who like to write negative reviews generally. However after my third disappointing visit. Not by choice I might add I really need to express my concerns. I've been dragged here three times for family functions. I would never come by choice. Let me start by saying that the staff are all polite friendly and very helpful. The starters or tapas as they like to call them have always been very good. However the mains are very different. On all three ocassion I have found the mains to taste awful. In fact I'd go so far as to say my latest the chicken tikka massal was disgusting.I felt physical sick. I just couldn't eat it and I am the kind of person who leave nothing ever. The nann breads were dripping with fat. The portions are meager at best. The restaurant is very open plan. Which if its busy is a nightmare. Because you can't hear the person next to you and That's if you have no hearing problems. Shame really. I wanted to like this place. It's local. Reasonably smart and like I say staff are welcoming and friendly. I have no idea what it is but those mains are just awful amd tiny. Update 23/4 23. Some changes have been made to The restaurant. Think it may have changed hands. Been dragged here again for a family event. Mains slightly better this time dining experience poor though. Portion sizes still poor and no table service unless you pay extra.. Serving staff seem to laid back.

After few trips with friends to this place, finally decided to take family for dinner @ Talbot. As this was not prebooked we got table straight away as it was not too busy. Then the service part came where waitress asked if we want to order at the till or take table service( Just for nformation table service cost 5% extra for total bill it is printed on the menu but staff dont tell you that). I decided to go with the table service and this is where it all went wrong for me. Had to wait for food extra long time. I would have understood if place was super busy but when you can see staff(Mentioning no names) standing around doing nothing or just chatting i think then customer leaves with very uplesent expereience. Specially when i had to pay for the service i would expect it to meet the standard. Full marks to the food as always, everyone enjoyed the food. But after being left waiting ang being ignored my family written off this place as fine diner and i woun't be returning anytime soon.
