Premier Inn Birmingham South (Longbridge Station) hotel

Noteworthy details: Premier inn standards have dropped so much. The booking process was difficult, and online support was a waste of time. I had to pass through a plume of smoke as hotel guests were gathered at the entrance. The lift smelt like an ashtray. My key fob didn't work, so I had to go back to reception again. Once inside, the room was freezing. I put the heating up and left to get some warmth in the pub next door. On returning, the smokers had moved themselves into the outer foyer as it was too cold outside. The room had warmed up but not the water as I ended up having a lake warm shower. On a positive note, I slept well and, in the morning, checked again to find the water wasn't any warmer. I pack my things and left ASAP. This is not what I expect from branded hotel chain. I certainly won't be checking in to this hotel again.
