        Food & drinks: Afternoon tea was expensive and very disappointing. The menu is enticing and the food looks good when it is served, however, the taste is disappointing. The hot food was served luke warm and tasted as if it had been standing in the kitchen for some time. The egg Mayo roll was like an egg mousse, not to my taste. The Victoria sponge cake was frozen in the middle. I complained and they were replaced with more Victoria Sponge cakes that were also frozen in the middle. The decaf tea was of poor quality. The hot chocolate was good. All in all a very disappointing Birthday afternoon Tea and very expensive for what it was. There appeared to be plenty of staff on duty who were all well meaning however Im not sure how effective they all were, this is possibly due to poor management.
