I suppose it's handy if you're flying from Birmingham and have an early flight. We stayed here for the NEC as all other hotels in the area were booked.
It's extremely noisy - one one side you have the runway and on the other an extremely busy main road. In the summer it must be hell if you have to open the windows.
Also, the noise of families getting up and showering in the early hours of the morning to catch their flights meant around 5am you'd be awake whether you wanted to or not.
Very, very basic...plastic moulded bathroom smelled of urine most of the time.
Food in the restaurant was equally as bad.
However, the reception desk staff and the restaurant staff at breakfast time couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
Extremely basic hotel stripped back to the absolute essentials.
I wouldn't stay here again....even if I was taking a flight from Birmingham!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to express my gratitude for always making my stays with you so fantastic! Your crew is seriously the friendliest and most helpful out there, and I really appreciate it. I especially want to give a special thanks to Leslie, your supervisor, for always going the extra mile to make sure I'm comfortable during my stay.
I also want to mention how impressed I am with Emma, your hotel manager. She's clearly a pro at hospitality and it definitely shows. I always feel like I'm getting top-notch service when she's around.
But really, it's the whole team that makes Travelodge Birmingham Airport such a great place to stay. You guys are always welcoming and quick to help with anything I need.
Thanks again for being such a fantastic hotel. Can't wait for my next visit!
