House (The Avenues) looked amazing but that's all. Buried building rubble as garden, lights falling off, electrical issues, sewage issues, etc. Two years next month (Aug 2020) since first reported, baby also due any day, and Harker Homes are not responding to my calls or messages since before lockdown. Legal action to follow I guess.

Very poor, shoddy workmanship...wall paint comes off on your clothes if you brush against it, Newell posts on stairs have to be replaced all twisted and not aligned, garden filled with rubble under grass, smelly drains, different colour floor grout between floor tiles, doors don't shut properly, all doors need replacing, stabilizing middle fence bar not been put in, in garden, godfather no attached to fence.....I would be here all day. This is just a few out of 100 problems we have.... No communication, no action, nothing....definitely no recommendations from us.

Brought our first home over 2 years ago, bathroom tiles cracking, having to pay to fix our own extractor fan as mould and damp was becoming a serious issue. Promised snags would be fixed after 2 year mark, however minimal to no communication from Harker homes. Our drive is sunken (promised it would be fixed) estate not finished, pipes coming out the bank and looking like a general mess which we now have to pay for as members of the management company which is mandatory. I wouldnt buy from Harker homes again, I shouldve gone with a more established company like Taylor Wimpey. Gordon the actual director of Harker homes is unreachable, never replied to any emails or contact. Cowboy builders who are putting homes up quickly, without any attention to detail. Our roofs havent been constructed properly, problems with boundaries and gas/boilers which is a significant problem. My kitchen units and doors have peeled and bubbled and I was told its due to steam and have had no response regarding new ones. Can you believe there would be steam in a kitchen?! I never thought my kettle or hob would be hot enough to create steam, what absolute joke! Of course there would be steam in a kitchen?! Something you can spend thousands on and Ive had NO response in regards to new doors. If you want a new build dont buy from Harker homes, take this as a red flag and a warning, once they have your money they arent interested about fixing snags and corrective work- which you will end up forking out for. Its a mess of a company, with only one site manager who has to take on the load of everyones complaints without any help. Its a shambles of a company- STEER WELL CLEAR. Services: Tile work replacement, Foundation pouring, Home renovations

Promised the world and received a blow up globe of Poor workmanship and cheap materials, this developer can not finish a project, they provide terrible communication, have gross mismanagement problems and high-level directors who shy away from you in the street. Completely disgraceful customer care. If you want a new home, go to a seasoned house builder because even they will perform and provide a better product than Harker Homes. Almost two years have passed since buying the property and no snagging work of critical items has taken place. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, a boiler flue that is not in line with regulations, garden fencing falling through, fire stopping between garage and bedroom not completed, render cracking, leaking roof lights, issues relating to street access and condition, and many more cosmetic issues. The worst part is we havent had half as many issues as other residents have. Their website states they have exemplary Customer care after purchase but thats far from the truth. Employees do not read their emails (from the horses mouth) and the available contact number rings out. If you do get a chance to speak to somebody they are abrupt and dismissive. Please think twice before making the mistake of buying their product. Service: Home building

It is with regret that I find myself having to write this Google Review. After moving in to our first dream home, Ive been very disappointed with the after care received from Harker Homes. The purchase of our home was not a smooth process (not only due to the pandemic) so we were relieved and excited to move in to our property when completion day arrived. However, if you pardon the pun, the cracks have really started to show. Its been almost a year since we moved in and only one job from our (lengthy!) snag list has been completed despite several instances of communication between myself and the Harker Homes team. After reading their websites testimonies, Im left puzzled to believe where this, and I quote, exemplary customer care after purchase is one year on from move in day. We are missing paperwork from our boiler which means our warranty cannot be registered, we have loose tiles in our en-suite bathroom, stairs coming away from the wall and the list goes on. It feels as though they have our money and now these problems are no longer a concern to them. Our contracts state that we only have two years to report and have snagging completed but Im worried that this two years will pass and give them an excuse to not do the work they are already avoiding. Likewise, we as neighbours all get promised/told different things to keep us sweet when clarity is all we ask for. We love our home, its perfect for us but, as the website again suggests, this is a life-changing decision but it should be one filled with joy and excitement. Instead we are left with worry and frustration. This was my last option to get them to listen/take action so Im hoping something will be done following this review. As lovely as our home is, I would not recommend Harker Homes if youre looking for a new build and good quality after-care as their website promotes.
