My husband went on a night out with a group of friends Saturday night. He was singled out from his group of white friends as the only Asian one and was refused entry. My husband had two drinks at the missing bar, his friends had a lot more to drink and were actually tipsy while my husband was pretty much sober. He was singled out by the bouncer and simply told "not you, you're not allowed.". My husband asked for the reason, and the bouncer ignored him. My husband had to wait outside, knowing his face was the reason he was not welcome into this bar. He messaged his friends and told them he was denied entry, and while he waited for them to come out to go to a different bar, he got chatting to another Asian female who also was not allowed in and also was clearly not drunk. This has really upset me as you would not expect racist door staff to be employed by a lgbtq+ establishment. My husband was made to feel unwelcome and singled out, when the whole point of the gay village is inclusivity and diversity. He has never experienced this treatment at other bars in the gay village. Looking at some of the reviews, it seems this is a recurring theme. The only reasons we can think of him being denied entry is if he was drunk/looked like he had taken something (he was not), or if he wasn't allowed in because he was wearing a hoodie (other people wearing hoodies were allowed in).

Nice place. Very good music, a mix of pop, house and afrobeat, which I love. Free entry

Beware of Bouncers, they just don't let me in for no reason, just a power trip so he can feel important, rude door staff, avoid at all costs, try Missing instead.
