Tailor Made

I walked in to Tailor Made last minute when we had the unexpected minus temperatures in February/March as the zip on my winter coat had broken (and I hadn't think to get it fixed because I thought we were heading into spring!!). Even though the team had no notice, and no zips long enough to simply replace the broken zip in stock at the time, they went above and beyond to find a way to enable me to walk out with a warm coat that zipped, within 30minutes, for a fraction of the price that a bespoke zip, and new coat would have cost me - happy customer! Tailoring skills are fantastic, have not visited as a drycleaners but can see they are always busy. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Check opening hours before visiting.

I brought in a few items to be hemmed. The hems were crooked so I took them back in. They redid them, only for them to look even worse & much shorter than they originally were. I left a negative review & the owner contacted me, full of assurances he'd personally help correct them. They've had my items since Sep 22 - the owner has promised to post them back to me but I'm still waiting. He doesn't respond to me anymore either. So I'm out the cost of two dresses plus the cost of tailoring. Would avoid at all costs!! So unprofessional. You really only know if a company is good by the way that handle mistakes - you've been warned! Update : the dresses were returned to me. The one is still skew & unwearable (far too short for me now). The other one is also too short but at least the hem is straighter. I will have to donate these dresses. Complete waste of money. Really fed up. In response to the owners comment - it's you who doesn't respond. I could post screen shots proving this but don't feel I need to - the pictures speak for themselves. The work was bad & this is what I've highlighted. I asked for a refund & you've ignored me. Disappointed in your service - no need to get personal.
